Over the last few months, through events such as our summer raffle and Halloween scarecrow trail, Heatherton have been fundraising for 'Get the Boys a Lift', in memory of one of our members of staff, Ben, who sadly passed away earlier this year.Â
We feel extremely privileged that we got to visit the charity last week, along with Ben's lovely grandparents to donate a total of £1000 to this deserving cause. We were able to talk with some of the amazing individuals who put so much effort into this organisation, while learning even more about the type of work they do.
Get the Boys a Lift is a non-profit organisation, situated in Haverfordwest, who provide free and accessible mental health support to those who need it. They provide a much-needed safe space for the community, offering a unique blend of quality coffee, award-winning counselling, impactful outreach, and sustainable clothing.
For a large number of us, reaching out and accessing help for the first time can often be the toughest part. That's where GTBAL provides the invaluable service of running a completely free, online counselling service open to anyone over the age of 17. Their main aim is to break the stigma of mental health, with a vision of being the UK's most impactful community project, pioneering a healthier and happier future for all.Â
