Heatherton goes 'green' with two new solar fields

How we're using solar power to reduce our carbon footprint

This summer, we're excited to say our two new solar panel fields are fully operational - with one field located opposite our Tree Tops Sky Tower and the other next to our Florence Springs Glamping Village.

Over the last year we've invested £500,000 in turning Heatherton into a 'greener' attraction, installing 480 solar panels across two solar panel fields; one to power the park and another our Florence Springs accommodation.

With each of our glamping units also having their own dedicated solar panels, we now estimate that between 30% and 40% of the energy we consume comes from our solar panels, saving between 140,000 and 180,000 kw/h per year.

We're always looking for ways to reduce our impact on the environment and this is a huge step forward for us in our sustainability strategy!
